OVERVIEW

This intensive 2-days course offers a wide spectrum of new information and knowledge on the use of innovative technology in Pediatric Dentistry.
You will be able to go back to work on Monday and begin providing no-shot, laser pediatric dentistry with confidence.

You will learn the validated protocols to properly diagnose tongue tie, how to precisely release the frenum with any laser, correctly, and the critical importance of timing the surgery working with a team for ages 0-18.

Educational Objectives:

1. Recognize differences between commonly used dental laser wavelengths and understand advantages and disadvantages of wavelengths depending on laser/tissue interaction desired

2. Determine which laser wavelength is best suited to your practice/procedure needs

3. Ability to understand and begin using validated protocols to assess for tongue tie in pediatric patients

4. Relate the specific lingual anatomy to a predictable, complete release of restriction, ie learn great surgical technique with any laser

5. Develop understanding of team approach to ideal timing of release of restricted lingual frenum

6. Differentiate between incomplete frenum release and scar tissue and understand how to best help in either situation

7. Leave the course with tangible, valuable knowledge in order to provide restorative pediatric procedures the following workday in your practice

8. Practice hands-on with multiple laser wavelengths on hard and soft tissues
