Course Description: his course provides in-depth training on diagnosing and treating Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTS). Learn more about how tongue/lip ties affect breastfeeding, speech, dental development and overall pediatric health.
Learning Objectives: • Identifying, assessing and diagnosing lingual, buccal and maxillary in infants and toddlers • Understanding on how ankyloglossia should be part of the differential diagnosis in sleep disordered breathing and OSA in infants and toddlers • Understanding infant air induced reflux is not GERD • Choosing the right laser in the release or revisions of TOTS • Post-surgery care for the surgical area and patient • Understanding why the concept of an anterior and posterior lingual tie is no longer acceptable terminology • After care for revisions and avoiding any complications
