Gail Siminovsky, CAE is a leadership professional and has served as Executive Director of the Academy of Laser Dentistry since 1999. Gail serves the ALD Board and Committees as an advisor. She has a passion for helping dentists revitalize the way they interact with patients by providing new and improved solutions for dental care. She speaks on governance and board leadership, building strategic alliances, and the importance of associations being knowledge brokers. This year Gail is the Chairwoman for the Florida Society of Association Executives and in 2019 she was honored with the FSAE 2019 Executive of the Year award.

Hi, I’m Donna Rell, and I manage the Certification Program, Membership, Conference, and Registration at the Academy of Laser Dentistry. I’ve been with the ALD for 13 1/2 years, and I’ve really enjoyed meeting and working with members and volunteers from around the world. A large part of my day to day responsibilities are devoted to our Certification Program. I process all of the enrollments, exams, results, certificates, and CE for this program. I am also a member of the Testing Committee, meeting every 2-3 years to review our current test and make updates with our psychometrician. My background is in telecommunications, customer service, customer relations, and corporate and sales rep commissions. I have over 23 years experience in the corporate world, working for companies such as Bellsouth Mobility, Sprint, and Sprint Long Distance.
At BellSouth Mobility, I won a contest, competing with over 100 employees, to be their voice-over actress for 3 years on their automated customer service system. That was exciting! When I’m not working, my favorite thing to do is relax and have fun with my husband, family, friends, and grandchildren who are my world. I am exceedingly blessed to be called Nonna, and I am forever grateful for the life I have; professionally, I know that each member has those things they truly care about, so I do my job diligently to help them through this process.

Fern Carbonell is the Communications Manager with ALD and is responsible for producing ALD Lightwaves, ALD CE Opportunities, and other email communications and manages social media. She also fulfills the role of Speaker Coordinator whenever there’s an ALD CE program. She lives in Austin, TX and I enjoys baking sourdough bread, practicing yoga, staying active, and spending time with her 8-year old grandson.
