The Board of Directors of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD) has made the decision to cancel its 27th Annual Conference scheduled for April 2-4, 2020 at the Paradise Point Resort in San Diego, California. The ALD Executive leadership has been monitoring the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. Over the last several days, the ALD has received many notices from attendees and faculty and exhibitors in the United States and around the world whose institutions and companies have imposed travel bans that will prevent them from attending the Annual Conference.
The ALD Board of Directors has determined that cancellation of the meeting is necessary and unavoidable for the following reasons:
ALD respects the decisions of the many institutions and companies which have chosen to restrict their employees' travel during these unusual times. The health, safety and well-being of our attendees, exhibitors, speakers and members are our highest priorities. In light of factors in the US, and around the world, it is clear that the ALD Conference cannot be held April 2-4, 2020.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through confirming the important details you need to know as a result of the Annual Conference being canceled.
In the coming weeks, we will consider possibilities for providing content from this meeting digitally. For now, we leave you with the simple wish to stay well, and we look forward to seeing you again at ALD 2021 in Alexandria, VA, April 8-10 at the Westin.
