Part 1- The Foundations of Laser Dentistry (6 CEU hours)

This self-paced digital learning platform sponsored by the Academy of Laser Dentistry is designed to give attendees a sound understanding of the basic principles of lasers in dentistry. The remote learning section is designed to be completed prior to the course and covers the following topics:

• Chapter 2- Production of Light
• Chapter 3- Laser Tissue and Laser Material Interactions
• Chapter 4- Clinical Applications of Laser Dentistry
• Chapter 5- Laser Safety in Dentistry

Part 2- Clinical Simulation Training and Office Integration (12 CEU hours)

This lecture and hands-on platform is designed to provide clinicians the critical data and clinical training to develop confidence and confidence in the use of lasers in the dental hygiene realm. Topics presented in this aspect of the course are:

• Laser Physics
• Laser Operation and Maintenance Utilizing Diode and CO2 Lasers
• Biologic Rational for Lasers in The Treatment of Periodontal Disease
• Advanced Diagnostics and Prognostics in The Treatment of Periodontal Disease
• Treatment Planning, Coding and Fee Assessment
• Effective Communication Geared to Increase Case Acceptance
• Introduction to Photo Bio-Modulation and Enhanced Wound Repair
• Hands-on Training Via Pig Jaws
• Clinical Simulation Exam
• Preparation for the Written Standard Level Exam

Part 3- Standard Level Online Exam (1 CEU hour)

• 75 Question Multiple Choice Online Exam
• Administered by the Academy of Laser Dentistry
• Must be Completed Within 90 Days of Part 2
