The Compendium of Laser Dentistry is a special issue of the Journal of Laser Dentistry, published by the Academy of Laser Dentistry. It's purpose is to offer a timeless introduction to the use of dental lasers.
You will find an overview of the fundamentals of lasers and several articles that were previously featured in the Journal. Among these are manuscripts about the use of magnification, the science of laser caries detection, adjunctive treatment of periodontitis, crown lengthening for treatment of a fractured tooth, crown lengthening for esthetic dentistry, surgical treatment of a hemangioma, treatment of aphthous ulcers and herpetic lesions, and a veneer preparation. Also included are two nonclinical essays: one on how a dental laser practitioner might beneficially affect his or her patients, and another on laser purchasing considerations. Lastly there is information about the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
