Once I join, when will I receive my new member kit, membership card, membership pin and first issue of Journal of Laser Dentistry (JLD)?
You will receive your new member packet along with membership card, pin, and the most recent copy of the Journal within the first month of your membership. Going forward the journal is published 2 times per year in full color. You will automatically receive the next published copy as soon as it's available.
How do I log into the members only section of www.laserdentistry.org?
On the home page, in the upper right hand corner, click on LOGIN to MY ALD. Enter your username/password that was emailed to you after you joined. You will also receive an ALD Membership Card which includes your membership id (username) and your password for the website. You may email email@example.com to obtain your information as well.
How do I update my member directory listing?
You may update your member record online by going to www.laserdentistry.org and logging in as explained above. Once you are logged in, click on MY ALD, and update your personal record. This is the easiest way to keep your records current. You may also send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the office by phone 954-346-3776 x 204, toll free 1-877-527-3776 or fax 954-757-2598.
When are my annual membership fees due?
Starting October 1, 2011, your membership dues covers 12 months of membership from the date of application. Members will receive reminder notices 60 prior to their due date via email.
Several of my staff members belong to the Academy. Can we pay all of our dues at one time?
Yes, you can make multiple payments at one time via check. Please specify who the dues are being paid for and submit payment to the Academy of Laser Dentistry, PO Box 8667, Coral Springs, FL 33065.
What are the different Types of Membership?
There are several different types of membership in the Academy aimed to encompass a vast variety of dental professionals as well as the professional community at large. Membership categories are as follows:
The Academy of Laser Dentistry is an international professional membership association of dental practitioners and supporting organizations dedicated to improving the health and well being of patients through the proper us of laser technology. The Academy actively supports education and research through its certification programs, publications, meetings and additional activities. The Academy fosters dialogue and seeks to build community among its members and dental organizations, educational institutions, researchers, industry representatives and others who share this mission.
