"I was surprised and extremely honored when I received confirmation that I was to receive the Leon Goldman Award. When I look at the past recipients, they are all members whom I have admired over my 23 years with ALD. I have always enjoyed giving presentations at the various meetings, and along with several other ALD members, it has been my great pleasure to see Photobiomodulation / Low-Level Lasers become an integral part of laser education. Teaching and publishing on Photobiomodulation has been an honor and am I taking pleasure in thinking that through this I have been able to help patients in dental practices throughout the world. On a personal note, I am so pleased to receive this award this year; I recently lost my wife to cancer and throughout my career she has been my biggest supporter. I was thrilled to be able to share the news with her before her passing." - Dr. Gerald Ross
