Wild Animal Park
Time: 8:30am - 3:00pm
Fees: $95 adults (12+), $75 children (3-11)

Join ALD for the ultimate way to feel as though you are in Africa! We will take a safari vehicle tour view of the animals. See animals "roaming free" in a wild natural setting from the comfort of our vehicle -- unique and peaceful; then there’s time to visit the lions and gorillas on foot and shop in the Zoo store. Lunch is on your own at the park.

Tour includes guided sight-seeing motor coach to and from the park, Wild Animal Park admission and safari vehicle tour of this spectacular park. One of the best experiences without going all the way to Africa! Advance reservations are required.

Friday, April 11

Tour & Luncheon at the famous Hotel del Coronado
Time: 10:00am - 1:30pm

Do you remember Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon in "Some Like it Hot"? This is where it was filmed. The trolley will pick us up at the Loews to tour around Coronado. Then a fun local guide will point out exhibits and photos in this spectacular, Victorian style landmark hotel and nearby shops. Hear how the hotel is 'haunted' by the mysterious Lady in Black! Tour includes a served 3-course lunch on the Shearwater Veranda overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There is time to walk on the beach and visit the shops. Dress as if you just disembarked from your huge yacht! We will return to LOEWS in time to join the afternoon of sailing if you choose to sign up for both events. Advance reservations are required.

ALD2008 Sailing Regatta (34 footers with captain)
Time: 3:00pm - 7:30pm
Fees: $105 per person

Join our yuppie sailing regatta...in comfy 32-42 foot sail boats each with a captain. The ALD2008 Sailing Ahead fleet will meet us at the LOEWS pier and we’ll navigate through beautiful San Diego Bay for a 3 hour tour! See the USS Midway and other naval boats from our sail boats. We will return as the sun sets and enjoy wine and cheese and other goodies. No experience necessary, but sailing aficionados will actually sail if they wish. Sign-up for sailing is on a first come first serve basis. Advance reservations are required.

San Diego Trolley, Amphibious Seal Vehicle Tour of San Diego, the Harbor, & Old Town Mission and Shopping
Time: 9:30am - 2:00pm
Fee: $75 per person

First a San Diego Trolley picks us up at the Loews to take us to Seaport Village; then we transfer to our “seal” vehicle which will drive right into the water for a really fun harbor tour. See San Diego from the water in the calm harbor. After the seal tour, we will experience a docent-guided visit to the historic Spanish Village and its old adobe mission where California started; then onward to Anthony’s on the harbor front for lunch on your own overlooking the water. Limited to the first 35 to sign-up. Advance reservations are required.
