M. Seidner Student Scholarship Program 2007-2008
 Coral Springs, FL – May 3, 2007 - In 2004, ALD introduced the Dr. Eugene M. Seidner Scholarship Program. The scholarship program is named to honor the memory of Dr. Eugene M. Seidner, ALD’s President 1996-1997. Dr. Seidner is most aptly described as a pioneer; both as a clinician for his early use of lasers in his dental practice as well as his contribution to the formation of the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Known as a giver, Dr. Seidner conveyed his broad vision to all who knew him in a manner that was uniquely warm and generous. The Academy is proud to honor his memory through this student scholarship program.
What is awarded?
The Dr. Eugene M. Seidner Student Scholarship Program is
intended to promote the advancement of dental laser technology education
and clinical research. The scholarship reward includes full conference
registration, 5 onsite hotel nights, round trip coach airfare from
any point in the USA, transportation to and from airport, admittance
to the Standard Proficiency Dental Laser Course, March 28, 2007
and one-year ALD membership. Meals not scheduled within the conference
program are not included. Upon successful presentation an Award
for participation will be presented to the scholarship recipient/s.
A plaque for best student presentation will be granted for best
presentation.
Who is eligible?
The Academy of Laser Dentistry invites all undergraduate
dental students or graduate dental students in a general or specialty
program interested in deepening their understanding of the use of
lasers in dentistry to apply. Applicant must follow guidelines outlined at laserdentistry.org.
Completed applications must be received by ALD by September
1, 2007. The recipient/s are selected and notified no
later than November 30th, 2007.
How do candidates apply?
- Complete the student scholarship application which can be downloaded below or contact ALD for an application to be mailed to you.
- Submit your Abstract.
- Send a typed letter of recommendation signed by your mentor.
Abstract Submission Deadline
Abstracts must be submitted by September 1, 2007 following the guidelines
specified in ALD’s Call
for Abstracts. The recipient/s are selected and notified no
later than November 30, 2007.
